   Check the CAN bus wiring and connections leading to the A051 Engine Control Unit (EDC 7) using the EDC control circuit diagram.

   Inspect the EDC7 module's multi-pin connectors for broken wires, loose pins, moisture ingress, or corrosion.

   Connect the Deutz SERDIA diagnostic software (using a DeCOM interface) to read the engine control unit directly and verify the original Deutz error FC:007E.

   Resolve Wiring Faults

   If the diagnostic checks reveal a break or short in the CAN bus lines between the tractor's basic control unit (A050) and the engine control unit (A051), repair the wiring harness or replace the damaged connector pins.

   ECU Testing/Repair

   If the wiring is fully intact and the CAN message is still missing, the CAN transceiver inside the Bosch EDC7 unit may have failed. Remove the unit and send it to a specialized electronics repair center for testing, or replace it entirely.

   Clear the Fault

   Use the Deutz SERDIA diagnostic software to manually delete the error from the EDC7 memory following the physical repair.
