Fendt 1E.1.C0 – A051 - ECU, engine control unit (EDC 7): CAN-message missing
Issue description
Indicates a communication failure where the tractor's network is not receiving expected CAN bus messages from the engine control unit. The internal SERDIA fault code associated with this error is FC:0080.

Check the cause
Check the CAN bus communication lines connected to the A051 Engine Control Unit (reference the 'Circuit diagram EDC engine control').
Inspect the main harness connectors at the EDC 7 module (e.g., connector X1466) for corrosion, backed-out pins, or moisture ingress.
Connect the Fendt SERDIA (Service Diagnostics) program to read the fault log, verify the missing CAN messages, and test the functioning of the actuators.
Repair steps
Resolve Wiring Faults
If the diagnostic checks reveal physical damage, shorts, or open circuits in the CAN bus wiring between the A051 ECU and the central electrical system, repair or replace the affected harness sections.
ECU Repair/Replacement
If the wiring is intact and the A051 ECU is internally unresponsive on the CAN network, the EDC 7 module must be repaired or replaced.
EOL Programming
If a new or remanufactured EDC 7 unit is installed, you must perform EOL (End of Line) programming to write the engine parameters and data record to the new module.
Clear Faults
Once the physical repair is complete, use the SERDIA diagnostic software to clear the fault code (FC:0080) from the system memory.
