1E.1.D0

Fendt 1E.1.D0 – A051 - ECU, engine control unit (EDC 7): Ambient pressure sensor faulty

Issue description

The Deutz EMR3 engine management system has detected a failure or implausible reading from the ambient (atmospheric) pressure sensor, which is integrated internally within the engine control unit.

Check the cause

  1. Connect FENDIAS or Deutz SERDIA diagnostic software to the tractor

  2. Verify battery voltage, main power supplies, and ground connections to the A051 (EDC 7) module to rule out voltage drops or spikes causing internal sensor errors

  3. Attempt to clear the fault (FC:0010) using the SERDIA software

  4. Cycle the ignition to verify if the fault returns immediately, which confirms the internal sensor has failed

Repair steps

  1. Clear the Error

Attempt to delete the error using SERDIA.

  2. Remove the ECU

If the fault cannot be cleared, power down the tractor, disconnect the battery, and remove the A051 Engine Control Unit (EDC 7) from its mounting location.

  3. Repair or Replace

Send the EDC 7 unit to a specialized agricultural electronics repair center for internal board repair, or purchase a replacement EDC 7 unit and have the original data cloned to it.

  4. Reinstall and Program

Install the repaired or replacement ECU. If a blank/new ECU is used, perform EOL (End of Line) programming using the dealer diagnostic tool so the ECU can communicate with the A050 Basic Control Unit, the A077 Immobilizer, and the TMS.
