1E.1.D4

Fendt 1E.1.D4 – A051 - ECU, Engine Control Unit (EDC 7): Faulty injector valve (chip) / High current output injector B (High)

Issue description

Internal hardware failure within the engine control unit. Specifically, the internal driver chip responsible for delivering the high-current electrical pulse to fuel injector 'B' has failed or detected a critical fault.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the engine wiring harness and fuel injector B for dead shorts to ground or power, as a severe short in the injector circuit can burn out the ECU's internal driver chip

  2. Connect the SERDIA (Deutz/Fendt) diagnostic software tool to the tractor

  3. Attempt to clear the fault code (Internal Hex ID: FC:009E) to determine if it is a hard fault

Repair steps

  1. Connect diagnostic interface

    Connect the SERDIA diagnostic interface.

  2. Attempt to delete error

    Attempt to delete the error.

  3. Replace control unit if necessary

If error cannot be deleted, replace control unit. Because the fault specifies a damaged internal chip, the module itself is physically compromised and cannot be fixed via software updates.

  4. Remove defective ECU

Remove the defective A051 EDC 7 Engine Control Unit.

  5. Install replacement ECU

    Install the replacement ECU.

  6. Perform EOL programming

Perform EOL (End of Line) programming using the diagnostic tool to flash the tractor's specific engine parameters, immobilizer sync data, and TMS (Tractor Management System) configurations to the new unit.
