   Connect the Fendt SERDIA diagnostic software to verify the active fault (FC:00EB)

   Consult the specific tractor's 'EDC control' circuit diagram to identify the exact CAN-Bus routing to the A051 module

   Locate the A051 EDC 7 module (often fuel-cooled and mounted on the engine). Inspect the main wiring harness connector (e.g., connector X1466) for moisture, corrosion, or pushed-out pins.

   Test the CAN-Bus lines (CAN A, B, and C) for continuity, high resistance, or short-to-ground/short-to-power. The fault is often triggered by a broken wire or short circuit in the serial communication lines between the A051 Engine ECU and the A002 Enhanced Control ECU.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes during harness manipulation.

   Harness Repair

   If the multimeter tests reveal a broken wire or short in the CAN-Bus lines leading to the A051 ECU, trace the harness to locate the chafe mark or break. Repair the wiring using approved splice connectors and heat shrink, or replace the damaged harness section.

   Connector Maintenance

   If the wiring tests good but the connector pins are corroded, clean the pins thoroughly with electrical contact cleaner. Replace any damaged pins or the connector housing if the locking mechanism is broken.

   Clear Faults

   Reconnect the battery and the ECU. Connect the SERDIA diagnostic tool and execute the "delete error / clear fault" command.

   ECU Replacement (If Necessary)

   If the wiring is 100% intact, power and ground to the ECU are verified, and the fault immediately returns and prevents communication, the A051 EDC 7 module has likely suffered an internal serial interface failure. Replace the ECU. Note: A new ECU will require EOL (End of Line) programming via SERDIA to match the engine parameters and chassis configuration.
