Check the cause

  1. Do not attempt to repair the tractor; consult the implement manufacturer's literature

  2. Check the tractor's ISOBUS Virtual Terminal (VT) / Universal Terminal (UT) screen to see if the implement is broadcasting its own specific error codes

  3. Inspect the physical ISOBUS breakaway connector at the rear of the tractor and the implement's 9-pin plug for dirt, corrosion, or bent pins that might be causing data transfer issues

Repair steps

  1. Acknowledge fault code

Acknowledge the 2.1.EF fault code on the Fendt operating console to clear the tractor's warning.

  2. Navigate to implement screen

Navigate to the specific implement's control screen on the ISOBUS terminal.

  3. Read implement error

Read the specific error message or code provided by the implement.

  4. Consult implement manual

Consult the implement manufacturer's service manual (e.g., Krone, Lemken, Amazone) using the implement's specific error code.

  5. Repair implement

Perform the necessary repair on the implement (e.g., clearing a jam, replacing a faulty implement sensor, or fixing an implement wiring harness).

  6. Restart system

Once the implement is repaired, restart the tractor and implement to re-establish normal ISOBUS communication.
