Fendt 3.1.03 – A004 - Control console: A004 - Control console — Internal RAM, EEPROM faults

This fault code indicates a critical internal memory failure (RAM or EEPROM) within the tractor's control console. Because the internal memory is compromised, the console's operating software cannot execute properly. As a direct consequence, the system automatically switches off several functions for safety and stability, specifically: the keypad/button panel, digital and analogue inputs, and LED actuation.

   Verify Power Supply: Check the voltage supply for the CAN-Bus on printed circuit board/fuse board A013. Specifically, inspect fuses F040 and F041 to ensure they are intact.

   Inspect Wiring and Connections: Check the compact plug connections routing to the A004 console for any signs of corrosion, loose pins, or wiring shorts.

   Confirm Symptoms: Verify that the physical symptoms match the code's parameters (unresponsive keypad, dead LEDs, and lack of analogue/digital input recognition).

   Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate the A004 Control Console, which is situated in the cab on the right-hand mudguard/armrest.

   Remove the panel or hatch cover at the front of the console to access the mounting hardware and wiring.

   Carefully disconnect the compact plug(s) from the console.

   Unscrew the mounting hardware (typically two bolts at the front and two M6 nuts at the rear).

   Remove the faulty A004 control console.

   Install the replacement control console and secure it with the mounting hardware.

   Reconnect the compact plug(s).

   Reconnect the battery and turn on the ignition.
