4.1.07

Fendt 4.1.07 – Transmission Control Unit (TCU): Transmission drive pressure high-pressure sensor — Signal fault (or Signal failure)

Issue description

The system has detected a signal failure from the B008 sensor, which monitors the oil pressure in the transmission's high-pressure circuit. Because the peak loads in the transmission are no longer being monitored, the Tractor Management System (TMS) is switched off. Shifting between driving modes/operating ranges (from 1 to 2) is not possible.

Check the cause

  1. Check A013 fuse 3 for an 8.5 V power supply fault

  2. Locate the B008 high-pressure sensor on the right side of the transmission, on the valve block (requires removing the right rear wheel and covering metal panels)

  3. Inspect the wiring harness and separation point/connector X157 for the B008 sensor for corrosion, damage, or loose connections

  4. Test the B008 sensor output voltage/current draw with the engine running above 1400 rpm (Expected: 0 bar = ~0.80 VDC / 4.0 mADC, 30 bar = ~0.94 VDC / 4.7 mADC, 100 bar = 1.37 VDC / 6.7 mADC, 200 bar = 1.90 VDC / 9.2 mADC, 400 bar = 3.00 VDC / 14.8 mADC, 560 bar = 3.80 VDC / 18.7 mADC)

Repair steps

  1. Preparation

Safely park the tractor, turn off the ignition, and engage the parking brake.

  2. Access the Valve Block

Remove the right rear wheel and the metal shielding panels to expose the right side of the transmission valve block.

  3. Electrical Repair

If A013 fuse 3 is blown, replace it. If the wiring at connector X157 is damaged, repair the harness.

  4. Sensor Replacement

If the wiring and fuse are intact but the sensor fails the voltage/pressure test, depressurize the system and unscrew the B008 high-pressure sensor from the valve block. Install the new sensor and torque to OEM specifications.

  5. Calibration

Run the tractor's transmission calibration procedure via the Variotronic terminal after replacement.

  6. Reassembly

Reinstall the metal panels and the right rear wheel. Clear the fault codes from the tractor's memory.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Transmission High-Pressure Sensor (B008)

Mounts directly to the transmission valve block on the right side of the tractor. Connects to harness separation point X157.
