Fendt 4.1.20 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control: Accelerator pedal release potentiometer not calibrated or EEPROM checksum error
Issue description
The accelerator pedal release potentiometer (slide switch) is either not calibrated or there is an EEPROM checksum error, preventing the tractor from being driven in accelerator pedal mode.
Applies to these machines

Check the cause
Check Calibration Status: Access the tractor's diagnostic menu to see if the joystick's slide switch has lost its calibration values.
Check CAN Bus Communication: Verify that there are no underlying CAN bus communication faults between the A034 Joystick and the A002 ECU (look for accompanying codes like 0.0.1F or A.1.CC).
Verify EEPROM Status: If the calibration is correct but the code persists, check if the A002 ECU has an EEPROM checksum error indicating data corruption.
Repair steps
Recalibrate the Slide Switch
Enter the tractor's diagnostic/calibration menu and run Calibration Code 4010 to recalibrate the accelerator pedal release pot ('slide switch').
End-of-Line (EOL) Programming
If calibration fails or the system reports an EEPROM checksum error, the A002 ECU requires new End-of-Line (EOL) programming using FENDIAS to reload the correct data record.
Hardware Replacement
If EOL programming and calibration code 4010 do not clear the fault, replace the physical potentiometer inside the joystick (A034) or the accelerator pedal position sensor.
Parts you might need
(3)Gas pedal potentiometer / AGCO Fendt Vario position sensor
G930200020011Position Sensor (Accelerator pedal, front axle, clutch pedal position sensor)
G916971020033A034 Joystick Assembly
If the slide switch potentiometer cannot be serviced independently on your specific model year's armrest, the entire joystick assembly may require replacement.
