Fendt 4.1.22 – A034 Joystick (Driving Switch): A034 - Driving switch, CAN bus: Accelerator pedal release pot. ('Slide switch') faulty.

Indicates a failure in the slide switch (potentiometer) located on the main driving joystick. When this fault is active, the tractor's throttle/accelerator pedal mode becomes inoperable.

   Connect FENDIAS diagnostic software and check live data for the A034 drive switch module to see if the slide switch/potentiometer is registering any voltage or movement.

   Verify the physical CAN bus connection at the base of the joystick and ensure there are no pinched wires in the armrest causing a signal fault.

   Check for other related A034 codes (such as 4.1.23 or 4.1.25) which might indicate a broader failure of the joystick's internal circuit board rather than an isolated slide switch issue.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes on the CAN bus network.

   Access the Joystick

   Carefully disassemble the armrest console to access the wiring harness and mounting hardware for the A034 driving switch.

   Inspect/Replace

   Replace the entire A034 joystick assembly, as the standard OEM repair procedure is to replace the unit rather than rebuilding the internal potentiometer.

   Install New Joystick

   Mount the replacement joystick and reconnect the CAN bus electrical connectors.

   EOL Programming

   Connect the FENDIAS tool and run a new EOL (End of Line) programming / calibration sequence so the tractor's ECU recognizes the new joystick and calibrates the potentiometer limits.
