Fendt 4.1.22 – JOYSTICK (A034): Accelerator pedal release potentiometer faulty

The accelerator pedal release potentiometer (slide switch) on the joystick is faulty, causing the tractor's accelerator pedal mode (throttle pedal mode) to become inoperable and restricting operation.

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic software and check the A034 drive switch/joystick module for live data and secondary codes.

   Verify the CAN bus connection and power supply to the joystick, as a loss of communication can trigger A034-related faults.

   Check if the joystick has lost its calibration data (Adjustment code 4010) or has an EEPROM checksum error.

   Inspect Wiring

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the A034 joystick for any physical damage, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Software Recalibration (EOL)

   If the FENDIAS system shows an initialization error, routing data error, or EEPROM checksum error for the A034 joystick, run a new EOL (End of Line) programming for the joystick.

   Component Replacement

   If EOL programming fails or the slide switch potentiometer is physically broken/shorted, the joystick switch assembly (or the entire A034 joystick lever) must be replaced.

   Post-Repair Calibration

   After installing a new joystick or switch, you must run a new EOL programming and calibration procedure using FENDIAS to pair the new A034 component with the tractor's Enhanced Control ECU.
