Fendt 4.1.24 – TRANSMISSION: S015 - Position sensor parking brake / Hand brake solenoid switch

Signal failure / Signal fault. The parking brake automatic mode (automatism) is not available.

   Locate the S015 hand brake switch on the left side of the cab, directly on the hand brake lever assembly (requires cover removal).

   Check the switch adjustment to ensure it switches exactly at the 2nd tooth of the hand brake lever's travel.

   Disconnect the switch at separation point X226 and test resistance: 121 ohms with hand brake released (switch closed), and 510 ohms with hand brake applied (switch open).

   Inspect the wiring harness between separation point X226 and the Transmission ECU for breaks, corrosion, or shorts.

   Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and secure the vehicle from rolling.

   Remove the plastic trim/cover on the left side of the driver's seat to expose the hand brake lever mechanism.

   Locate the S015 magnetic hand brake switch and disconnect its electrical connector (X226).

   Unbolt and remove the faulty switch from its mounting bracket.

   Install the new OEM switch.

   Slowly pull the hand brake lever and adjust the physical position of the new switch so that it triggers exactly when the lever clicks into the 2nd tooth.

   Reconnect the electrical harness and reinstall the lever cover.

8. 8

   Turn on the ignition and verify that the parking brake automatism functions correctly and the fault code is no longer active.

   Clear stored codes via the terminal if necessary.
