Fendt 4.1.26 – A002 ECU: Signal fault with the A034 - Joystick (Driving switch)
Issue description
The signal for the accelerator pedal mode (or throttle pedal mode) is faulty. The system detects that the drive switch is either sending an invalid signal or is physically stuck in the engaged position, rendering the accelerator pedal mode inoperable.

Check the cause
Physical Inspection: Check the accelerator pedal mode button/switch on the A034 joystick to ensure the drive switch is not stuck and returns freely without being jammed by dirt or debris.
FENDIAS Diagnostics: Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic program and navigate to the A034 drive switch diagnostics to monitor the live state of the accelerator pedal mode switch.
Wiring & CAN Bus Check: Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the A034 Joystick and the A002 ECU for continuity, corrosion, or short circuits.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the battery or electrical main switch before intervening with the CAN bus components.
Clean/Free the Switch
If the diagnostic check revealed a physically stuck button, attempt to clean the switch housing on the joystick with electrical contact cleaner.
Replace the Component
If the switch is internally shorted or the joystick's internal circuit board has failed, the joystick assembly (or the specific switch module) must be replaced. Disconnect the electrical connectors at the base of the joystick and unbolt it from the armrest console.
Install the New Joystick
Mount the replacement A034 joystick and reconnect the CAN bus wiring harness.
EOL Programming
Run a new EOL (End of Line) programming / calibration using the FENDIAS dealer tool to initialize the new joystick on the CAN bus.
Clear Codes and Test
Clear the 4.1.26 fault code from the tractor's memory, start the tractor, engage accelerator pedal mode, and verify that the tractor responds correctly without throwing the code.
