Fendt 4.1.45 – Transmission Control Unit (TCU): B015 - Bevel pinion speed (=travel speed) Hall sensor — Signal fault

The transmission control unit has detected a signal failure or missing signal from the B015 Hall-effect sensor. This sensor monitors the rotational speed and direction of the bevel pinion, which the tractor uses to calculate its actual travel speed.

   Verify the 8.5 V power supply to the sensor (often routed through the A013 module, check fuse 2 or fuse 7)

   Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector (X164) at the B015 sensor for physical damage, corrosion, or loose pins

   Check for accompanying plausibility fault codes, such as 04.1.83, which indicates a mismatch between the B014 collecting shaft sensor and the B015 bevel pinion sensor

   Test the signal output of the sensor using a multimeter or oscilloscope while the wheels are turning to confirm if the signal is completely dead or dropping out intermittently

   Safely park the tractor on level ground, engage the parking brake, and turn off the engine.

   Locate the B015 bevel pinion speed sensor on the Vario transmission housing.

   Carefully disconnect the electrical connector (X164) from the sensor.

   Remove the retaining bolt securing the sensor to the transmission housing.

   Extract the old sensor.

   Clean the mounting port and surrounding area to ensure no dirt or debris falls into the transmission fluid.

   Insert the new sensor into the housing and secure it with the retaining bolt.

   Reconnect the electrical connector.

   If you are installing the updated OEM sensor, you may need to install an adapter harness.

   Turn on the tractor and clear the stored fault codes using the tractor's terminal or the FENDIAS diagnostic tool.

   Perform a test drive to verify that the travel speed registers correctly on the dash and that the tractor operates normally without defaulting to emergency mode.
