Fendt 4.1.68 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control: Transmission characteristic shifted in neutral point

The tractor's electronic control system has detected that the physical neutral position of the transmission actuator no longer matches the calibrated zero-point stored in the computer's memory.

   Active Parking Test: Test the transmission by engaging the active parking function to see how the transmission behaves at a standstill.

   Mechanical Binding: Mechanically verify the smooth adjustment action of the transmission actuator unit. If the actuator binds, calibration will fail.

   Temperature Check: Ensure the transmission oil temperature is higher than approx. 40°C (104°F). Calibration cannot be performed on cold oil.

   Emergency Mode: Ensure the transmission emergency operation mode is NOT switched on, as calibration is locked out in this state.

   Prepare the tractor for calibration

   Operator must be in the seat (seat switch actuated). Engine must be running. Tractor must be completely stationary. Steering must be set straight, and the steering wheel must not be actuated. Auto-Guide standby button must be OFF (LED off) or in partial activation. Transmission oil temperature must be > 40°C.

   Clear Codes

   Confirm and clear any active warning and fault messages individually on the terminal.

   Enter Calibration Mode

   Access the tractor's diagnostic menu and enter Calibration Code 4007 (Transmission ratio characteristic calibration).

   Run the Calibration

   Follow the on-screen prompts to initiate the calibration. Note: If the actuator fails to reach the specified value within 8 seconds, or if conditions aren't met, an 'ERROR' message (such as F02, F03, or F04) will appear.

   Save the Data

   If the calibration completes successfully, 'OK' is displayed. You must turn the ignition key to position '0' (OFF) and wait for at least 15 seconds. This allows the ECU to write the new zero-point sensor settings to its non-volatile memory.
