   Remove the steering column covers to access the S061 rapid reverse switch assembly.

   Disconnect and Test

   Disconnect the switch at connector X1040. Use a multimeter to test the switch for proper continuity in the Forward, Neutral, and Reverse positions.

   If the switch fails the continuity test (e.g., showing continuity on multiple circuits simultaneously or no continuity at all), remove the mounting hardware and replace the S061 switch assembly.

   Reconnect X1040, reinstall the steering column covers, reconnect the battery, and use the FENDIAS diagnostic program or the tractor's onboard terminal to clear the stored 4.1.87 fault code. Test the shuttle function to ensure the repair was successful.
