Fendt 4.1.E4 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control: Checksum error parameter for active parking function

The control module has detected a data corruption or mismatch in its internal memory (EEPROM/Flash) specifically regarding the parameters that govern the active parking/hold function.

   Verify drivability to see if the tractor can still be driven in an auxiliary/emergency mode

   Verify the power supply and CAN bus connections to the A002 ECU

   Check the fuses on the A013 printed circuit board (specifically fuses like F039, F040, F041, or F046 depending on chassis)

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to read out the exact state of the A002 ECU and confirm that the checksum error is active and not a historical voltage-drop anomaly

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to the tractor.

   Navigate to module

   Navigate to the A002 - ECU, enhanced control module.

3. 3

   Perform programming

   Perform an EOL (End-Of-Line) programming procedure to rewrite the correct parameters for the active parking/hold function back into the ECU's memory.

   Clear faults

   Clear the fault codes and cycle the ignition.

   Test function

   Test the active parking/hold function to ensure the fault does not return.

   Replace ECU

   If the EOL programming fails, or if the fault code returns immediately after a power cycle, the internal EEPROM/Flash memory of the A002 ECU is physically defective. In this case, replace the A002 ECU.

   Program new ECU

   After installing the new module, perform a complete EOL programming and calibration of the new A002 ECU using FENDIAS.
