Check the cause

  1. Inspect the physical condition of the clutch pedal potentiometer on the Neumaier reverse drive station

  2. Check the wiring harness and electrical connectors leading to the reverse drive clutch potentiometer for damage, corrosion, or loose connections

  3. Attempt to recalibrate the clutch pedal using the tractor's onboard diagnostic system (calibration code 4011)

Repair steps

  1. Turn the ignition ON and ensure the hand brake is applied.

    Prepare the tractor for diagnostics.

  2. Access the tractor's diagnostic and calibration menu.

    Navigate to the calibration settings.

  3. Enter calibration code "4011" to initiate the clutch pedal calibration process for the Neumaier reverse drive facility.

    Start the calibration procedure.

  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the calibration.

    Complete the system calibration.

  5. If the calibration fails or the 4.1.E8 fault code returns, power down the tractor and disconnect the battery.

Prepare for parts replacement if calibration does not resolve the issue.

  6. Locate the clutch pedal potentiometer on the reverse drive assembly.

    Find the faulty sensor.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the faulty potentiometer.

    Remove the old sensor.

  8. Install the new clutch pedal potentiometer and reconnect the wiring harness.

    Install the replacement part.

  9. Reconnect the battery, power on the tractor, and repeat the "4011" calibration procedure to initialize the new sensor.

    Calibrate the newly installed potentiometer.

  10. Clear the fault codes and test the reverse drive system to ensure proper operation.

    Verify the repair was successful.
