Fendt 4.1.EA – A002 - ECU, enhanced control: Internal fault (RAM / EEPROM) or Incorrect EOL programming

Memory failure, checksum error, or corrupted parameter data within the tractor's enhanced control unit. Tractor restricts operations, but continuation in emergency mode is usually possible.

   Verify if the tractor can still be driven in emergency/auxiliary mode to confirm the ECU is not completely dead

   Check for accompanying CAN-bus communication faults (e.g., 4.1.B0) or sensor plausibility codes that might indicate a wiring harness short causing the ECU to fault

   Using the FENDIAS diagnostic software, check if the stored values in the transmission E-Box are logical

   Connect diagnostic interface

   Connect the Fendt diagnostic interface (FENDIAS) to the tractor.

   Perform EOL programming

   Perform an EOL (End-Of-Line) programming procedure to rewrite the parameters to the A002 ECU.

   Cycle ignition and verify

   Cycle the ignition and check if the stored values in the transmission E-Box are now logical.

   Retry EOL programming

   If the values are still illogical or the code returns, run the EOL programming a second time.

   Replace or repair E-Box

   If EOL programming repeatedly fails to clear the RAM/EEPROM fault, the internal memory of the A002 E-Box is physically damaged. You must remove the E-Box and either send it to a specialized agricultural electronics repair facility or fit a new replacement E-Box.
