Fendt 4.1.EF – A002 - ECU, Enhanced Control: Turboclutch characteristic — No calibration or drifted values
Issue description
This fault indicates that the transmission's turboclutch function has lost its calibration parameters or the stored values have drifted outside of the acceptable tolerance range. The tractor will typically restrict itself to an auxiliary/emergency operating mode, though continuation of driving is usually possible.

Check the cause
Verify the operation of the Y004 - Neutral/Turboclutch solenoid valve.
Check that when the Y004 solenoid valve is without current, the valve is open (power interrupted).
Check that when the Y004 solenoid valve has current, the valve is closed (transmission is nonpositive).
Ensure there are no CAN-bus communication errors to the A002 module by checking fuses F040 and F041 on fuse board A013.
Repair steps
Prepare for calibration
Pull the hand brake tight. Warning: The tractor may start moving during this calibration process.
Start engine
Start the engine.
Verify stationary state
Ensure the tractor is completely stationary (speed must be less than 0.1 km/h).
Set engine speed
Set and maintain the engine speed to 1100 +/- 40 rpm (note that engine speed may drop during the calibration process).
Initiate calibration
Enter Calibration Code 4009 into the diagnostic terminal to initiate the turboclutch calibration.
Allow relearning
Allow the A002 ECU to relearn the Y004 solenoid valve characteristics.
Perform EOL reprogramming if needed
If the calibration fails repeatedly or the A002 ECU has an internal memory fault (RAM/EEPROM checksum error), an EOL (End of Line) reprogramming of the A002 ECU by an authorized dealer is necessary.
