Check the cause
Verify the voltage supply and CAN-Bus connections on fuse board A013, specifically checking fuses F040 and F041 which supply power to the A002 module.
Check the main separation point connector (X031) on the A002 ECU for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins.
Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool and attempt to run a new EOL (End of Line) programming sequence to see if the flash memory can be overwritten.
Repair steps
Preparation
Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the ignition, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.
Locate the ECU
The A002 ECU is located inside the cab, on the right-hand mudguard.
Access the Module
Remove the interior side panel covering the right mudguard to expose the electronics box.
Removal
Carefully disconnect the X031 wiring harness connector from the A002 ECU. Unbolt the module from its mounting bracket and remove it from the tractor.
Installation
Mount the replacement (or repaired) A002 ECU into the bracket and secure the bolts. Reconnect the X031 wiring harness securely.
Reassembly
Reinstall the right mudguard interior panel and reconnect the tractor's battery.
Calibration
Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic system. You MUST perform EOL (End of Line) programming to flash the correct software parameters for your specific chassis number and calibrate the transmission settings before the tractor can be operated normally.
Parts you might need
(1)Electronics Box / Transmission Control Unit (A002 - ECU, enhanced control)
G515550070030Exact part numbers supersede frequently based on the specific Vario series and chassis number. Always verify fitment with an AGCO dealer using the tractor's VIN. Requires dealer EOL programming via FENDIAS after installation. Alternatively, the faulty unit can be sent to specialized agricultural electronics repair services for component-level board repair.
