Fendt 5.1.54 – Transmission Control System: Signal fault from component S006 (Left brake pedal solenoid switch)

Signal fault originating from component S006 (Left brake pedal solenoid switch). As a result, the automatic differential lock system becomes unavailable, the Tractor Management System (TMS) is automatically switched off, and only the manual '100% differential lock' remains available.

   Check the Switch Magnet Setting: The S006 is a magnetic solenoid switch. You must check the physical magnet setting and alignment for the left brake pedal switch to ensure it is triggering correctly when the pedal is depressed.

   Test the Switch: Perform a continuity or signal test on the S006 switch to determine if the internal contacts have failed.

   Access the Switch

   Locate the S006 left brake pedal switch. Depending on the tractor model (e.g., 300 Vario), you may need to remove the dashboard panels to access the X218 separation point connector.

   Adjust Alignment

   If the switch tests fine electrically but is throwing a signal fault, adjust the magnet setting for the S006 switch to ensure proper proximity to the pedal mechanism.

   Replace the Switch

   If the switch is electrically dead or physically broken, disconnect it at the X218 plug connector and remove the mounting hardware. Install the new OEM switch and secure it.

   Calibrate/Adjust

   After installing the new switch, verify the magnet setting distance according to the specific chassis service manual.

   Clear Codes and Test

   Turn on the tractor, clear the fault codes from the transmission control system, and verify that the TMS and automatic differential lock functions are restored.
