5.1.63

Fendt 5.1.63 – A002 ECU (ECU, enhanced control): Y013 "Lower" suspension solenoid valve 12V supply or actuation fault

Issue description

The system has detected a 12V supply fault or 12V actuation fault at the Y013 "Lower" suspension solenoid valve. The tractor will disable further suspension functionality, and the front axle suspension will remain locked in its last position.

Check the cause

  1. Check the wiring harness and connector at the Y013 solenoid for breaks, corrosion, or short circuits.

  2. Verify the fuses supplying the A002 Enhanced Control ECU and the suspension valve block.

  3. Visually inspect the Y013 coil and test its resistance with a multimeter to check for an open or shorted internal circuit.

  4. Check if the valve cartridge is physically blocked.

Repair steps

  1. Clear the Area

Ensure no personnel are under or near the tractor chassis, as the body may drop during depressurization.

  2. Manual Depressurization

Release the pressure manually before opening any lines or removing the valve. Turn the manual thumb screw on the Y013 valve to relieve the load pressure (the tractor body may lower). Turn the thumb screw on the Y014 (Raise suspension solenoid valve) to relieve the rebound accumulator. (Alternatively, open the manual lock valves AVF1/AVF2 if equipped).

  3. Remove the Valve

Once the system is fully depressurized, unscrew and remove the Y013 solenoid valve cartridge and coil.

  4. Clean or Replace

If the valve is merely blocked, blow it through with compressed air. If the coil has failed electrically (causing the 12V fault), replace the entire Y013 solenoid valve assembly.

  5. Reassembly

Install the new valve, torque to OEM specifications, and bleed the hydraulic system at the designated bleed points (AV1/AV2) as outlined in the workshop manual.

Parts you might need
