Fendt 5.1.63 – SUSPENSION ENHANCED DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM (A002 ECU or A050 Basic Control Unit): Lower' suspension solenoid valve — 12V supply fault
Issue description
The control module has detected an electrical malfunction (such as an open circuit, short circuit, or missing 12V power supply) in the circuit that actuates the Y013 solenoid valve, which is responsible for lowering the front axle suspension. Consequently, no further suspension functions are available, and the front axle suspension remains locked in its last position.

Check the cause
Check the wiring and connector at separation point X324 for corroded pins, moisture ingress, or broken wires
Test the 12V supply from the Enhanced Control ECU to the valve when a 'lower suspension' command is triggered
Test the Y013 solenoid coil resistance to ensure it is not internally shorted or open
Check the fuses powering the Enhanced Control modules and suspension circuits
Repair steps
Support the Tractor
Safely support the front chassis of the tractor to prevent it from dropping unexpectedly.
Manually Release Hydraulic Pressure
Locate the Y013 (Lower) and Y014 (Raise) solenoid valves on the central control block (ZSB). Screw in the knurled-head screw on the Y013 solenoid valve to manually open it, and screw in the knurled-head screw on the Y014 solenoid valve to relieve the rebound accumulator. (On some models, this is done by opening lock valves AVF1 and AVF2 to the left).
Disconnect Power
Remove the earth strap from the battery.
Remove the Faulty Component
Disconnect the X324 electrical connector. Remove the retaining nut on the Y013 solenoid and slide the faulty coil off the valve cartridge. If the valve cartridge itself is mechanically stuck, unthread it from the control block.
Install the New Part
Install the new solenoid coil (or complete valve assembly) and tighten to OEM torque specs. Reconnect the X324 connector.
Restore the System
Back out the manual knurled-head screws to their operating positions. Reconnect the battery.
Clear Codes
Start the tractor, allow hydraulic pressure to build, and clear the 5.1.63 fault code using the tractor terminal or FENDIAS diagnostic software. Test the suspension for proper operation.
