Fendt 5.1.66 – A002 - ECU, Enhanced Control: Y012 - Valve, charge suspension — Actuation fault
Issue description
There is an electrical actuation or signal failure communicating with the Y012 solenoid valve, which controls the charge function for the front axle suspension and hydraulic oil pre-heating. As a safety measure, the tractor's system automatically forces the suspension into a 'Lock' status, rendering the suspension non-operational.

Check the cause
CRITICAL SAFETY STEP: Manually relieve hydraulic pressure (up to 200 bar) by screwing in the knurled-head screw on the Y013 valve, then the Y014 valve, to relieve the rebound accumulator for the Y012 valve.
Inspect the wiring harness for breaks, corrosion, or short circuits.
Check the separation point connector X323 (which plugs into the Y012 valve) for damage or poor connection.
Repair steps
Locate the Valve
The Y012 valve is located at the right entrance step of the tractor, on top of the central control block (ZSB). Specifically, it is threaded into bore 2011.
Gain Access
Remove the right footplate/step and the metal cover panel behind the hydraulic oil tank to expose the central control block.
Depressurize
Perform the manual pressure release procedure described in the diagnostic steps.
Disconnect
Unplug the X323 electrical connector from the Y012 solenoid valve.
Remove
Unscrew the Y012 valve from bore 2011.
Replace/Reseal
Install the new Y012 solenoid valve. If the valve is mechanically sound but leaking, install a new OEM seal kit.
Reassemble
Reconnect the X323 electrical connector. Back out the knurled screws on the Y013 and Y014 valves to restore normal hydraulic operation. Reinstall the metal cover and footplate.
Clear Codes
Use the FENDIAS diagnostic system to clear the 5.1.66 fault code and test the suspension operation.
