5.1.95

Fendt 5.1.95 – Enhanced Control ECU: A034 - Driving switch, CAN bus

Issue description

Signal fault from the "Automatic function STOP" button located on the main driving switch (the joystick). When this code is triggered, the tractor's automatic stop and "Teach-In" functions will not operate, and the rear EPC (Electronic Power Control) actuation may be restricted.

Check the cause

  1. Check the 'Automatic function STOP' button on the joystick for sticking, physical breakage, or debris.

  2. Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic program and check the live readings for the A034 drive switch to see if the button press is registering.

  3. Consult the tractor's specific wiring diagram (often Sheet 26 or 29) to verify CAN bus continuity and power supply to the A034 joystick.

  4. Verify if there are accompanying initialization or checksum errors (such as F.1.B0 or F.1.F0) indicating corrupted internal memory in the joystick.

Repair steps

  1. Resolve Wiring Issues

If the diagnostic checks reveal a CAN bus communication error, repair the damaged wiring harness between the Enhanced Control ECU and the A034 joystick.

  2. Repair or Replace the Joystick

If the wiring is intact but the button signal is dead, the internal switch or the joystick circuit board has failed. You must either install a replacement button/repair kit or replace the entire A034 joystick assembly.

  3. EOL Programming

Whether you repair the joystick's internal board or install a brand new A034 joystick, you must run a new EOL (End of Line) programming sequence for the A034 joystick using the FENDIAS diagnostic software. The tractor will not recognize the repaired/new joystick properly without this initialization.
