Fendt 5.1.95 – Side Console ECU (A004): Signal fault with the 'Automatic functions STOP' key

The signal from the 'Automatic functions STOP' key (component A003) located on the main drive joystick (component A034) is missing, out of range, or short-circuited, preventing the automatic stop function from operating.

   Inspect the 'Automatic functions STOP' button on the joystick for physical damage, sticking, or accumulated dirt that might prevent the switch from actuating properly.

   Use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's Variotronic terminal to monitor the live signal from the A003 key to see if the button press is registering.

   Check the wiring harness and connectors between the joystick (A034) and the side console (A004) for pinched wires, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Using a multimeter or breakout box, check the voltage supply and signal of the memory key (expected requested voltage value for the joystick supply is typically 8 to 8.5 V).

   Inspect the A013 fuse board, which supplies power to the transmission and joystick CAN bus circuits, to ensure no related fuses are blown.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts during the repair.

   Disassemble trim

   Carefully disassemble the armrest/side console trim to access the base of the joystick (A034).

   Disconnect wiring

   Disconnect the wiring harness connecting the joystick to the side console.

   Remove joystick

   Remove the joystick assembly.

   Repair or replace joystick

   If only the external plastic button is broken but the internal switch clicks, replace the individual color-coded button caps. If the internal microswitch or circuit board has failed, send the joystick to a specialized agricultural electronics repair service for a board-level repair, or replace the entire joystick assembly.

   Install joystick

   Install the new or repaired joystick and reconnect the wiring harness.

   Reassemble console

   Reassemble the armrest console and reconnect the battery.

   Clear fault code

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to clear the 5.1.95 fault code. Note: If a brand new joystick or ECU is installed, EOL (End of Line) reprogramming may be necessary to pair the new component with the tractor's CAN bus network.
