Fendt 6.1.08 – COMFORT REAR PTO or REAR PTO ENHANCED CONTROL: Y026 - Rear PTO speed 1 solenoid valve — Actuation fault

This fault code indicates an actuation error with the Y026 solenoid valve, which is responsible for engaging the Rear PTO Stage 1 (typically the 540 or 540E rpm speed rate). The system detects that the valve is either wrongly wired, electrically faulty (open/short), or mechanically seized, preventing the PTO from engaging.

   Perform an emergency mode test by pressing and holding the 'Engage PTO' key in the cab for more than 5 seconds to see if electric speed selection remains possible

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the Y026 solenoid valve for breaks, wrong wiring, or corrosion

   Test the Y026 solenoid valve for proper resistance and continuity to rule out an internal electrical short or open circuit

   Verify there are no concurrent signal faults from the Hall-effect speed sensors on the rear PTO stub shaft (e.g., B020 or B021)

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical and hydraulic systems.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the Y026 solenoid valve on the transmission/PTO hydraulic control block (refer to the 'PTO's' circuit diagram for your specific chassis number).

   Repair Wiring (If Applicable)

   If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged wiring or corroded pins at the connector, repair the harness or replace the connector plug.

   Replace the Solenoid Valve

   If the wiring is intact but the valve is seized or electrically dead, remove the retaining nut/bolt, slide off the old Y026 solenoid coil, and extract the valve cartridge if the mechanical portion is seized. Install the new genuine Fendt solenoid valve.

   Reassemble and Clear Codes

   Reconnect the wiring harness. Reconnect the battery. Use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard terminal to clear the 6.1.08 fault code.

   Operational Test

   Start the tractor and engage the Rear PTO at speed 1 (540 rpm) to verify the actuation fault has been resolved and the PTO engages smoothly.
