6.1.10

Fendt 6.1.10 – COMFORT REAR PTO or ENHANCED CONTROL REAR PTO: B020 - Hall-effect speed sensor on rear PTO stub shaft

Issue description

Signal fault. Discrepancy or loss of signal from the rear PTO speed sensor. This can mean the selected speed is active but the stub speed is reading lower than the clutch speed, the stub speed is reading greater than 1300 rpm, there is a power supply fault to the Hall-effect sensor (B020), or a speed selection solenoid valve (Y026, Y027, or Y028) is stuck in the 'OFF' position.

Check the cause

  1. Check fuse A013 (fuse 32) to verify the 12V power supply to the sensor, as a blown fuse will cause a supply fault

  2. Inspect the wiring harness for the PTO circuit diagram, looking for chafed wires, corrosion, or a disconnected plug at the rear PTO stub shaft

  3. Check the PTO speed selection solenoid valves (Y026, Y027, Y028) to ensure they are functioning and not stuck in the 'OFF' position

  4. Test emergency mode by pressing and holding the PTO engagement key for 5 seconds to verify if the mechanical clutch is fine and isolate the issue to the electrical circuit

Repair steps

  1. Safety First

Turn off the tractor and relieve any hydraulic pressure from the system. The PTO valve and central control block can hold pressure up to 200 bar even with the engine off.

  2. Locate the Sensor

Locate the B020 Hall-effect speed sensor externally at the rear of the tractor, mounted on the rear frame transmission housing near the PTO output.

  3. Remove the Sensor

Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor and unbolt/unscrew the faulty B020 sensor from the housing.

  4. Install the New Sensor

Insert the replacement 40mm length sensor into the housing and secure it.

  5. Reconnect and Clear Codes

Reconnect the electrical harness, turn the tractor on, clear the fault codes from the terminal, and test the PTO engagement to ensure the dashboard accurately displays the PTO RPM.
