Fendt 6.1.1B (Only 900) – ENHANCED CONTROL: Y026 - Rear PTO speed 750 solenoid valve — Actuation fault

The control module has detected an actuation error with the Y026 solenoid valve, which is responsible for engaging the 750 rpm speed stage (Stage I) of the rear PTO. This is typically caused by an electrical issue (wrongly wired, open/short circuit) or a mechanical failure where the solenoid valve is seized in the 'OFF' position, preventing the rear PTO from engaging normally.

   Perform an Emergency Mode Test by pressing and holding the Engage PTO key in the cab for more than 5 seconds to see if the PTO engages, which helps determine if the issue is electrical or mechanical

   Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector at the Y026 solenoid valve for incorrect wiring, communication faults, or power supply issues

   Test the Y026 solenoid coil resistance to rule out an open or shorted coil

   Remove the valve and perform a mechanical inspection to check if the internal spool is seized in the OFF position

   Check the A013 fuse board and verify the 12V power supply to the enhanced control and PTO systems

   Park and prepare machine

   Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and engage the parking brake.

   Locate solenoid valve

   Locate the Y026 solenoid valve (designated as the Rear PTO stage I selection solenoid valve) on the rear transmission/PTO housing.

   Disconnect and clean

   Disconnect the electrical connector from the Y026 valve and clean any debris from the surrounding area to prevent contamination of the hydraulic system.

   Remove faulty valve

   If diagnostic tests proved the valve is seized or electrically dead, unbolt and remove the faulty Y026 solenoid valve.

   Install new valve

   Lubricate the O-rings on the new solenoid valve with clean hydraulic oil and install it into the housing.

   Reconnect harness

   Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Clear fault codes

   Clear the fault codes from the ENHANCED CONTROL module using the tractor's terminal.

   Test repair

   Start the tractor and test the rear PTO engagement at the 750 rpm setting to verify the repair.
