Fendt 6.1.1B (Not 900) – EST control module (E-box): Actuation fault with the Y027 - Rear PTO speed 750 solenoid valve

The system detects that the solenoid valve is not actuating properly, either due to an electrical fault (wiring/coil) or a mechanical seizure. As a result, the rear PTO cannot be engaged in the 750 RPM speed setting.

   Perform Emergency Mode Test: Attempt to bypass the standard electrical speed selection by pressing and holding the 'Engage PTO' key in the cab for more than 5 seconds. If the PTO still cannot engage, it confirms the solenoid valve (Y027) is physically faulty or seized in the 'OFF' position.

   Inspect wiring harness and connectors leading to the Y027 solenoid valve for damaged pins, short to ground, or open circuit.

   Inspect the mechanical speed selector mechanism for binding or faults.

   Verify there are no concurrent signal faults at the Hall-effect speed sensors (B020, B021) on the rear PTO stub shaft, as a failed sensor can prevent actuation.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and ensure hydraulic pressure in the PTO circuit is relieved.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the Y027 solenoid valve on the rear PTO hydraulic control block.

   Electrical Testing

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the Y027 solenoid. Use a multimeter to check the resistance of the solenoid coil. If it reads open (infinite resistance) or shorted, the coil is dead.

   Valve Removal

   If the wiring is intact but the valve is seized or electrically failed, unbolt and remove the Y027 solenoid valve from the manifold. Be prepared to catch a small amount of hydraulic fluid.

   Installation

   Install the new solenoid valve, ensuring O-rings are properly seated and lubricated with clean hydraulic oil. Torque to OEM specifications.

   Reconnect and Clear

   Reconnect the electrical harness. Turn on the ignition and use the tractor's terminal to call up and clear the stored 6.1.1B fault code from the memory.

   Test Operation

   Start the tractor and engage the rear PTO at the 750 RPM setting to confirm normal operation.
