Fendt 6.1.1C (Only 900) – ENHANCED CONTROL REAR PTO: Y027 - Rear PTO speed 1000 solenoid valve Actuation fault

The system has detected an actuation error (such as an open circuit, short circuit, or coil failure) in the Y027 solenoid valve, which is responsible for engaging the 1000 RPM speed stage for the rear Power Take-Off (PTO). As a result of this fault, the rear PTO cannot be engaged normally.

   Perform Emergency Mode Test: Press and hold the 'Engage PTO' emergency key in the cab for more than 5 seconds. If the PTO engages, the mechanical clutch is likely intact, isolating the issue to the Y027 solenoid circuit.

   Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector at the Y027 solenoid valve for corrosion, broken wires, or loose pins.

   Test the Y027 solenoid coil for proper resistance to determine if the coil has failed internally (shorted or open).

   Verify that the solenoid is receiving the correct 12V signal from the PTO control module when the 1000 RPM speed is selected.

   Preparation

   Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and engage the parking brake. Ensure the hydraulic oil temperature is safe to work around.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the Y027 solenoid valve on the rear PTO hydraulic control block (refer to the 'PTO's' circuit diagram in the service manual).

   Disconnect

   Carefully unplug the electrical harness connector from the Y027 solenoid.

   Removal

   Unbolt and remove the faulty solenoid valve from the hydraulic block. Be prepared to catch a small amount of hydraulic fluid.

   Installation

   Install the new OEM solenoid valve. Ensure any O-rings or seals are properly seated to prevent leaks.

   Reconnection

   Reconnect the electrical harness to the new solenoid.

   Clear Codes & Test

   Turn on the tractor, clear the stored 6.1.1C fault code from the terminal memory, and test the rear PTO engagement at 1000 RPM to verify the repair.
