Fendt 6.1.E0 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control: Checksum error parameter current control for speed selector

The EEPROM memory inside the control module has detected corrupted or mismatched calibration data regarding the current control parameters for the speed/range selector.

   Check for Accompanying Bus Faults: Verify if there are other CAN bus communication errors (e.g., 0.0.14, 0.0.15) which might indicate a wiring or power issue rather than an internal ECU memory failure.

   Check Power Supply: Ensure the voltage supply to the CAN-Bus on fuse board A013 is intact (specifically check fuses F040 and F041, which supply the A002 module).

   Check ECU Load via Terminal: Using the tractor's Variotronic Ti terminal (A008), navigate to the Diagnostics Menu. Check the 'Load counter of the A002 - ECU, enhanced control.' If the ECU is unloaded, a value of around 22000 is indicated; if the load is increasing, a lower value is shown.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the AGCO 2x4 CANUSB Diagnostic Tool to the tractor's diagnostic port (ensure connection to the G and K bus ports).

   Launch diagnostic software

   Launch the FENDIAS diagnostic software and open the EOL (End of Line) programming module.

   Select programming mode

   Select 'Programming Development' and input the tractor's chassis number to build the connection.

   Run EOL programming

   Run a new EOL programming sequence for the A002 Enhanced Control ECU to overwrite the corrupted speed selector parameters.

   Perform hard reset

   Wait for the programming to finish (this can take 15-20 minutes). Once the software prompts that devices have been switched into bootloader mode, perform a hard reset: Turn the ignition OFF, wait 15 seconds, and turn the ignition ON.

   Clear fault memory and verify

   Clear the fault memory. If the EOL programming fails to take, or if the 6.1.E0 fault code immediately returns, the EEPROM chip inside the A002 E-box has suffered a hardware failure and the ECU must be replaced.
