Fendt 7.1.04 – COMFORT FRONT PTO or ENHANCED CONTROL FRONT PTO: Actuation fault with component Y011 (PTO clutch front PTO solenoid valve)
Issue description
The control unit has detected an electrical or operational anomaly (such as an open circuit, short circuit, or failure to actuate) when attempting to engage or disengage the front Power Take-Off (PTO) clutch. When this fault is active, the front PTO will not function and automatically disengages.

Check the cause
Verify the 12V power supply to the front PTO system by checking fuse A013 (specifically fuse 22 or fuse 36).
Inspect the wiring harness and the X322 separation point (the electrical connector at the Y011 solenoid valve) for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins.
Test the Y011 solenoid coil for proper resistance and continuity to rule out a dead coil.
Check the condition of the hydraulic fluid and the front PTO hydraulic filter for contamination, which can cause the valve spool to stick.
Repair steps
Safety First
Turn off the engine and wait at least 30 seconds. Relieve any residual hydraulic pressure in the system to prevent injury, as the valve blocks can remain pressurized. Disconnect the battery.
Access the Valve
Remove the front plate/shielding on the front PTO transmission to access the valve block where the Y011 solenoid valve is located.
Disconnect Electricals
Unplug the X322 electrical connector from the Y011 solenoid valve.
Remove the Valve
Unbolt and remove the faulty Y011 solenoid valve from the housing. Clean the mounting surface and be prepared to catch any residual hydraulic fluid.
Install the New Valve
Install the replacement solenoid valve, ensuring the O-rings/seals are properly seated and lubricated. Torque to manufacturer specifications.
Filter Maintenance
Replace the front PTO hydraulic filter insert during this repair, as debris from normal wear can cause the new valve to stick and burn out.
Reassembly & Calibration
Reconnect the X322 connector and reinstall the front plate. Start the tractor, check for hydraulic leaks, and test the front PTO engagement. Depending on the model, you may need to calibrate the PTO clutch via the terminal.
