Fendt 7.1.05 – FRONT PTO ENHANCED CONTROL (A002 or A004): B002 - Front PTO Hall speed sensor — Signal fault.

The control system is receiving an erratic, implausible, or missing signal from the Hall-effect speed sensor responsible for monitoring the rotational speed of the Front Power Take-Off (PTO).

   Check the 12V power supply at the A013 fuse board (inspect fuse 14, 22, or 36 depending on your specific model) to rule out a supply failure.

   Disconnect the B002 sensor and inspect the wiring harness and earth connection for breaks or faults, as the sensor relies on a solid earth connection.

   Test continuity to the E-box using an adapter box to measure the signal wiring. Look for an open bridge or lack of continuity indicating a faulty harness or E-box.

   Check if the PTO can be engaged in emergency operating mode by pressing and holding the PTO button in the cab for more than 5 seconds.

   Disconnect battery

   Ensure the tractor is turned off and the battery is disconnected to prevent short circuits.

   Locate and disconnect sensor

   Locate the B002 Front PTO speed sensor on the front PTO housing and disconnect its dedicated electrical connector.

   Remove faulty sensor

   Unscrew and remove the faulty Hall sensor.

   Clean mounting surface

   Thoroughly clean the mounting surface/joint on the PTO housing to guarantee a perfect seal and prevent oil leaks.

   Install new sensor

   Install the new B002 sensor and tighten it to the manufacturer's specified torque.

   Reconnect electrical and battery

   Reconnect the electrical connector, then reconnect the battery.

   Clear codes and test

   Turn on the tractor, clear the fault codes using your diagnostic tool, and test the front PTO to ensure the speed is now registering correctly on the display and the fault does not return.
