Fendt 8.3.16 – A005 / A014 - E-box rear power lift / ECU, OBE: Stable voltage < 1 volt

Critical voltage drop or loss of stable power supply to the rear power lift control circuit. The system automatically terminates and locks the Electrohydraulic power lift control to prevent unintended movement or damage.

   Check the Power Supply Board (A013) which routes voltage to the CAN bus and rear EPC modules

   Inspect microfuses F040 and F041 on the A013 circuit board

   Inspect the wiring harness between the A013 circuit board and the A005/A014 E-box for shorts to ground, severe corrosion, or broken wires

   Test external pushbuttons (cab, left/right rear) to ensure they are not shorting out the circuit

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.

   Access the A013 Circuit Board

   Locate the A013 printed circuit board (fuse board) in the tractor's main electrical cabinet.

   Test and Replace Fuses

   Pull fuses F040 and F041. Test them with a multimeter for continuity. If blown, replace them with fuses of the exact same amperage rating.

   Check Voltage at the ECU

   Reconnect the battery and turn the ignition on. Use a multimeter to measure the input voltage at the connector for the A005/A014 Rear EPC control module.

   Repair Wiring

   If the voltage at the ECU connector is less than 1 volt but the fuses are good, trace the wiring back to the A013 board. Repair or replace any damaged sections of the wiring harness.

   Replace the ECU (if necessary)

   If the wiring harness provides proper voltage to the E-box but the fault persists (indicating the internal voltage regulator of the ECU has failed), the A005/A014 Rear EPC control module must be replaced.

   Clear Codes

   Use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard terminal to clear the fault codes and perform an EOL (End of Line) reprogramming if a new module was installed. Test the rear power lift to confirm the control lock has been lifted.
