Fendt 8.3.16 – A014 - ECU, EPC OBE: Internal voltage regulator dropped to Stable voltage < 1 volt
Issue description
The internal voltage regulator has dropped to a 'Stable voltage < 1 volt'. Because the voltage is below the required operating threshold, the system triggers a fault status, and the electrohydraulic power lift control is immediately terminated and locked for safety.

Check the cause
Verify the tractor's overall battery and charging system voltage.
Inspect the CAN bus power supply on the A013 circuit board, specifically checking fuses F040 and F041.
Review the 'Electrohydraulic power lift control' circuit diagram to trace the voltage supply lines to the A014 ECU.
Ensure the external rear power lift pushbuttons on the cab or fenders are not damaged or shorting out the circuit.
Repair steps
Access the Module
Locate the A014 - ECU, EPC OBE on the central control block. Access it from the entry on the right side of the tractor by removing the cover panels.
Test the Harness
Disconnect the wiring harness from the A014 module. Using a multimeter, test the supply pins for proper voltage and check the ground pins for high resistance.
Repair Power Supply
If voltage is missing at the harness, replace blown fuses (F040/F041 on the A013 board) or repair any broken/shorted wires in the harness.
Replace the ECU
If the harness provides the correct voltage to the module but the fault code 8.3.16 persists, the internal circuitry of the A014 ECU has failed and the module must be replaced.
Reprogram and Clear Codes
Install the new module, perform EOL (End of Line) programming via the FENDIAS diagnostic tool, clear the stored fault codes from the terminal, and test the rear power lift to confirm the control lock has been lifted.
