Fendt 9.1.50 – A002 ECU: Spool valve fault — Valve cannot be identified via bus line

The tractor's CAN bus system is unable to communicate with or register the Y019 electro-hydraulic spool valve. Because the valve's internal electronics are not sending the expected identification signal over the network, the system defaults to a safe state.

   Verify the voltage supply for the CAN Bus by checking the printed circuit board A013 and inspecting fuses F040 and F041

   Inspect the Y019 valve connector (X330) for corrosion, backed-out pins, or moisture ingress

   Test the CAN II bus lines (Pins 4 and 5 at the A002 ECU) for continuity to the valve connector, and check for shorts to ground or power

   Refer to OEM wiring diagram Sheet 28 (FRONT POWER LIFT/VENDI) to trace the exact routing for the chassis

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.

   Verify Fuses

   Replace fuses F040 or F041 if blown. If they blow again upon startup, trace the circuit for a short.

   Repair Wiring

   If continuity tests reveal a broken CAN wire or poor connection between the A002 ECU and the Y019 valve, repair the wiring harness or replace the damaged connector pigtail.

4. 4

   Replace the Valve

   If the wiring harness, CAN bus signals, and power supply are all verified to be in good working order, the fault lies within the valve's integrated control electronics. Replace the valve.

5. 5

   Calibrate (EOL)

   After replacing the electro-hydraulic spool valve, the new valve must be registered and calibrated using the FENDIAS diagnostic tool (End-of-Line / EOL programming) so the A002 ECU can recognize it on the bus.
