9.1.53

Fendt 9.1.53 – Front Power Lift / VENDI (Valve Electronics): Y019 Auxiliary Control Valve Overvoltage (Supply voltage > 18 volts)

Issue description

The Y019 auxiliary control valve has detected a supply voltage exceeding 18 volts. As a safety measure, the valve automatically moves into the neutral position, and auxiliary/front power lift functions are disabled.

Applies to these machines

  • Favorit 900 Vario (916, 920, 924, 926, 930)

Check the cause

  1. Check the tractor's charging system (alternator output and voltage regulator) to ensure it is not overcharging the electrical system (voltage > 18V)

  2. Inspect the wiring harness leading to the Y019 auxiliary control valve for a short to power condition

  3. Inspect the power supply for the CAN bus on printed circuit board A013, specifically checking fuses F040 and F041

  4. Measure the voltage directly at the Y019 valve connector to verify if the overvoltage is real or a false reading from a failed internal circuit board (normal is 12V-14V)

Repair steps

  1. Resolve Overvoltage

If the alternator is overcharging, replace the alternator voltage regulator or the entire alternator assembly.

  2. Repair Wiring

Repair any damaged wiring or shorts in the harness leading to the Y019 valve.

  3. Valve Repair/Replacement

If the tractor's voltage is normal but the valve's internal electronics are fried, send the valve out to a specialized agricultural electronics repairer (e.g., Ilgenfritz Mechatronics) or replace the entire Y019 Selective Control Valve assembly.

  4. Clear Codes and Calibrate

After repair, use the FENDIAS diagnostic software or the tractor's terminal to clear the stored fault codes and perform an EOL (End of Line) reprogramming/calibration if a new valve was installed.
