Fendt 9.1.53 – FRONT POWER LIFT / VENDI: Y019 - Auxiliary control valve (Spool valve fault) — Supply voltage > 18 volts
Issue description
The tractor's diagnostic system has detected an abnormally high voltage (exceeding 18V) on the circuit supplying the Y019 electro-hydraulic spool valve. As a direct safety consequence, the system disables the circuit, and the valve automatically defaults into the neutral position, disabling the associated hydraulic function.

Check the cause
Test battery and alternator output with a multimeter while the engine is running to check for system-wide overcharging (>18V)
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the Y019 valve (connector X330, pins 24 and 26) for chafed wires shorting to a higher voltage source
Inspect printed circuit board A013 and check fuses F040, F041, and F047 which protect the CAN bus and auxiliary control valve power supplies
Perform a valve isolation test by disconnecting the harness from the Y019 valve and measuring voltage at the connector pins. If voltage is normal (12-14V), the valve's internal electronics have likely failed
Repair steps
Address Overcharging (If Applicable)
If your multimeter showed the alternator outputting more than 15-18V, replace the alternator or voltage regulator before addressing the valve, as the overvoltage will continue to fry electrical components.
Repair Wiring
If a short-to-power was found in the harness, cut out the damaged section, splice in new wiring using weather-sealed connectors, and wrap it in a protective loom.
Replace the Spool Valve (If internally shorted)
Turn off the tractor, disconnect the battery, and relieve all hydraulic system pressure. Locate the Y019 valve (Position 5) on the hydraulic valve block stack. Disconnect the X330 electrical connector. Unbolt the SB 23 LS-EHS control valve from the hydraulic stack. Clean the mating surface. Install the new valve using fresh O-rings to prevent hydraulic leaks. Torque the mounting bolts to Fendt OEM specifications.
Calibration / EOL Programming
Reconnect the battery. Use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's Variotronic terminal to clear the stored 9.1.53 fault code. The new auxiliary control valve must be programmed for position 5 in the EOL (End of Line) program so the CAN bus recognizes it.
