9.1.56

Fendt 9.1.56 – A002 ECU (Enhanced Control Unit / Comfort Control Module): Y019 - Spool valve fault — Magnet output stage fault within spool valve

Issue description

This code indicates an internal electronic failure within the pilot control solenoid of the Y019 auxiliary control valve. The "magnet output stage" refers to the driver circuit/microchip inside the valve's electronic head that controls the solenoid coil. When this fault is triggered, the system forces the affected valve to move into the neutral position as a safety consequence, disabling its operation.

Check the cause

  1. Identify the Y019 valve on the central control block (usually Valve 5 / Front Power Lift).

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and the specific connector (e.g., X330 for Y019) for corrosion, pushed pins, or wire chafing.

  3. Check the G-bus CAN high (X641) and CAN low (X642) connectors to verify CAN Bus communication.

  4. Ensure the valve is receiving proper stable supply voltage (between 8V and 18V). If voltage is stable but the fault persists, the internal output stage is confirmed dead.

Repair steps

  1. Depressurize the System

Turn off the tractor and actuate the hydraulic levers/terminal controls to relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system.

  2. Access the Valve Block

Remove the necessary access panels (usually on the right side of the tractor near the cab entrance step) to access the ZSB central control block.

  3. Disconnect Electricals

Unplug the CAN bus and power connectors from the Y019 valve.

  4. Remove the Valve

Unbolt the tie rods securing the valve stack. Carefully remove the faulty Y019 spool valve slice, ensuring no dirt enters the hydraulic system.

  5. Install the New Valve

Install the replacement valve (or replacement electronic head, if applicable) using new O-rings/seals between the sandwich plates. Torque the tie rods to the manufacturer's specification.

  6. Bleed the System

The control block segments must be completely filled with oil and bled according to Fendt's instructions before operation.

  7. Calibrate (EOL Programming)

Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool. The new valve must be recognized by the CAN bus and calibrated (Teach-in / EOL programming) to set the neutral, floating, and maximum deflection positions.
