Fendt 9.1.57 – Enhanced Control ECU (A002): Y019 - Spool valve fault — Internal position sensor fault
Issue description
The internal position sensor (often a Hall effect sensor) inside the Y019 auxiliary control valve has failed or is sending an implausible signal. Because the system can no longer verify the spool's position, the safety protocol is triggered, and the valve automatically moves into the neutral position, resulting in a complete loss of function for the hydraulic circuit controlled by that valve.

Check the cause
Inspect the electrical connector at the Y019 valve for corrosion, moisture, or broken wires on the CAN II bus lines (Pins 4 and 5)
Ensure the valve is receiving proper supply voltage (between 8V and 18V)
Verify that the hydraulic control pressure has not dropped below 22 bar
Inspect for heavily contaminated oil, which can cause the main piston to jam and stress valve components
Read out the KWP code using the FENDIAS or SERDIA diagnostic software to confirm the exact nature of the sensor failure
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Lower the front power lift (and any other implements) to the ground. Turn off the tractor and relieve all hydraulic system pressure.
Locate the Valve
The Y019 valve is located on the central control block (ZSB). On many Fendt models, this is accessed on the right side of the tractor, near the right entrance step, behind the hydraulic oil tank or access flap.
Disconnect Electricals
Unplug the M12 5-pin electrical connector from the Y019 spool valve.
Remove the Valve
Mark the hydraulic lines for reassembly, then disconnect them. Cap the lines immediately to prevent dirt ingress. Unbolt the Y019 valve from the manifold block.
Install the New Valve
Mount the replacement spool valve, ensuring all O-rings are perfectly seated. Torque the mounting bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern to prevent distorting the valve body, which can cause sluggish spool response.
Reassemble
Reconnect the hydraulic lines and the electrical connector.
Calibration
Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool. Clear the old fault codes and perform an End-of-Line (EOL) programming / Teach-in procedure so the Enhanced Control ECU recognizes the new valve's parameters.
