Fendt 9.1.5A – FRONT POWER LIFT / VENDI: Main piston deflected too far.

The internal main piston of the spool valve has traveled beyond its designated operational range. As a safety consequence, the system forces the valve to move into the neutral position, disabling its function.

   Check for hydraulic oil contamination or debris, which is a primary cause of spool valve pistons jamming or deflecting improperly.

   Verify CAN bus communication by ensuring the wiring harness and connectors at the Y019 auxiliary control valve are intact. Check for voltage irregularities (drops below 8V or spikes above 18V).

   Scan the 'Hydraulic valve bus' with a diagnostic tool (like TEXA Navigator or FENDIAS) to verify if the 9.1.5A error is currently active or just a stored historical code.

   Relieve Hydraulic Pressure

   Ensure the tractor is turned off, implements are lowered to the ground, and all hydraulic pressure is relieved from the front power lift system.

   Inspect and Flush

   If the diagnostic checks revealed hydraulic oil contamination, drain the hydraulic fluid, replace the hydraulic filters, and flush the system to prevent the new valve from suffering the same fate.

   Locate the Y019 Valve

   Locate the Y019 auxiliary control valve block associated with the front power lift.

   Replace the Spool Valve

   Disconnect the CAN bus electrical connector and hydraulic lines, unbolt the faulty valve, and install the replacement. The entire spool valve slice must be replaced if the main piston has mechanically failed or deflected too far due to internal wear.

   Clear Fault Codes

   Use the diagnostic tool to clear the fault codes. On older Vario models, fault codes can sometimes be cleared manually on the dash panel by simultaneously pressing keys D, B, and C (Note: Do not delete codes until the physical repair is complete).

   Calibrate

   Depending on the tractor generation, the new valve may require EOL (End of Line) programming or calibration via the FENDIAS tool to register the new valve's setpoints on the CAN bus.
