Fendt 9.1.5B – FRONT POWER LIFT / VENDI (A002 - ECU, enhanced control): Y019 - Auxiliary control valve. Floating position is not reached.
Issue description
Because the valve cannot reach the commanded floating position, the system defaults to a safe state, and the valve automatically moves into the neutral position.

Check the cause
Manual Override Check: Verify if the floating position was deflected manually by the operator.
Voltage Check: Check the supply voltage to the Y019 valve (must be between 8V and 18V).
Hydraulic Pressure & Temperature: Ensure control pressure has not dropped below 22 bar and that the hydraulic oil temperature is not too low.
Contamination Check: Check the hydraulic oil for dirt or contamination.
CAN Bus Communication: Verify the wiring harness and connector (Connector X330 for Valve 5/Y019) for continuity to the A002 ECU.
Repair steps
Secure the Machine
Lower all hydraulic implements to the ground, turn off the engine, and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system.
Locate the Valve
Locate the Y019 Auxiliary Control Valve (designated as Valve 5 in the Fendt schematics). On models like the 400 Vario, this is typically located on the right entry, behind the hydraulic oil tank (requires removing the metal panel).
Inspect and Clean
Disconnect the electrical connector (X330) and inspect for corrosion. Remove the valve and inspect the spool for physical jamming or scoring caused by contaminated oil.
Replace the Valve
If the valve actuator is internally faulty or the electronics in the valve have failed (a common cause for CAN bus setpoint message failures), the valve must be replaced.
EOL Programming
Install the new valve. Because the auxiliary control valves are CAN bus nodes, the new Y019 valve must be registered and calibrated for 'position 5' using the FENDIAS diagnostic tool (EOL programming) so the A002 ECU can recognize it.
