Fendt 9.1.5B – FRONT POWER LIFT / VENDI: Y019 - Auxiliary control valve: Floating position is not reached
Issue description
The main piston of the spool valve fails to reach its commanded floating position. As a safety consequence, the system automatically forces the valve to move into the neutral position and lock.

Check the cause
Verify that the hydraulic oil is at operating temperature and control pressure has not dropped below 22 bar (low pressure or cold oil can cause short piston travel).
Inspect the supply voltage to the Y019 valve (must be between 8V and 18V, without overvoltage spikes above 45V).
Check the CAN bus wiring (specifically A002 CAN II Pins 4 and 5) to ensure the valve is communicating with the system.
Check if the valve slide is mechanically jamming or if the floating position was deflected manually by the operator.
Repair steps
Locate the Valve
Locate the Y019 auxiliary control valve. On most Vario models, this valve is located on the right entry, behind the hydraulic oil tank. You will need to remove the metal panel to access it.
Inspect Wiring
Disconnect the electrical connector (typically designated as X330 or X329 depending on the exact valve position) and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or damage.
Test the Actuator
If the wiring and hydraulic control pressures are within specification, the issue is likely an internal failure of the valve's position pickup sensor (Code 9.1.57) or a mechanical jam within the pilot control actuator.
Replace the Valve
Electrohydraulic spool valves with internal sensor/actuator failures generally cannot be serviced internally and must be replaced as a complete assembly.
Calibration
After installing the new spool valve, use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard terminal to clear the fault codes and perform an EOL (End of Line) teach-in/calibration so the ECU recognizes the new valve's parameters.
