9.1.5C

Fendt 9.1.5C – ECU, enhanced control (A002): Y019 - Spool valve fault — Floating position has been set manually

Issue description

The internal position sensor of the Y019 auxiliary control valve detects that the valve spool is currently in the 'float' position, but this action was not commanded electronically by the tractor's control system. This is primarily an informational code indicating that the manual override on the valve block has been used.

Check the cause

  1. Identify the Y019 spool valve (Valve 5, typically assigned to the Front Power Lift) on the hydraulic valve stack.

  2. Visually inspect if the manual override lever or screw on the Y019 valve has been physically engaged by an operator.

  3. If the manual override was not intentionally set, check if the valve spool is sticking or jammed due to dirt or oil contamination.

  4. Clear the code from the tractor's terminal and operate the valve electronically to see if the code returns.

Repair steps

  1. Disengage Manual Override

If the valve was manually set to the floating position, return the manual actuation mechanism on the Y019 valve to its neutral/automatic position.

  2. Clear Fault Codes

Access the tractor's Variotronic terminal and clear the stored 9.1.5C fault code.

  3. Test Operation

Actuate the Front Power Lift / Valve 5 using the joystick or cab controls to ensure full electronic control is restored and the spool moves freely.

  4. Clean or Replace Valve

If the manual override is not engaged but the code remains active, depressurize the hydraulic system and remove the Y019 spool valve slice. Attempt to clean the spool if hydraulic oil contamination is suspected. If the internal sensor or magnet output stage is defective, the entire electrohydraulic spool valve slice must be replaced.

  5. Calibrate

If a new valve is installed, perform an EOL (End of Line) reprogramming or valve calibration via FENDIAS to teach the ECU the new valve's parameters.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Electrohydraulic Auxiliary Control Valve (Spool Valve 5 / Front Power Lift Valve)

Specific OEM part numbers vary heavily by exact chassis number and series (commonly Bosch Rexroth SB-series). Ensure the replacement valve matches the specific slice position (Valve 5) and is compatible with the tractor's specific CAN bus system generation.
