9.1.5F

Fendt 9.1.5F – A002 - ECU, enhanced control: Spool valve fault (Y019 - Auxiliary control valve 5)

Issue description

The system detects that the setpoint message or configuration message is missing or not plausible. This indicates incorrect messages are being sent on the CAN bus, a potentiometer/PWM fault, or that the electronics inside the valve itself are faulty.

Applies to these machines

  • 412 Vario COM III
  • 413 Vario COM III

  • 926 Vario
  • 930 Vario

Check the cause

  1. Verify the supply voltage to the Y019 valve (should be between 8V and 18V to ensure stable CAN behavior)

  2. Inspect the G-bus CAN lines communicating with the valve, specifically connectors X641 (CAN high) and X642 (CAN low)

  3. Check connector X330 (the DIN connector for Valve 5) for corrosion, pushed pins, or moisture

Repair steps

  1. Access the Valve Block

The Y019 valve is located on the right side of the tractor in the region of the ZSB (central control block).

  2. Remove Covers

Depending on the exact model, access the valve block by removing the flap on the right side of the tractor, or by removing the footplate at the cab's right entrance step.

  3. Depressurize the System

Ensure the tractor is off and hydraulic pressure is relieved before servicing the spool valve.

  4. Disconnect Electronics

Unplug the X330 DIN connector and the CAN bus connectors (X641/X642) from the Y019 valve.

  5. Remove and Replace

Unbolt the faulty Y019 auxiliary control valve from the central control block and install the replacement unit.

  6. Reassemble and Calibrate

Reconnect all hydraulic lines and electrical connectors. Clear the fault codes via the Vario terminal or FENDIAS diagnostic tool. A teach-in or EOL (End of Line) reprogramming may be necessary for the A002 ECU to recognize the new valve's potentiometer limits.
