Fendt 9.1.B2 – A004: Depth control setpoint potentiometer is not calibrated
Issue description
The system cannot read the calibrated limits of the rotary control knob. As a result, setpoint values cannot be set for the Front Power Lift (Front EPC), meaning the operator will lose position/depth control functionality.

Check the cause
Verify the fault code is exactly 9.1.B2 (Not calibrated) and not 9.1.B3 (which indicates a signal fault or hardware failure).
Ensure the A004 Control Console is communicating on the CAN-Bus.
Verify the voltage supply for the CAN-Bus on printed circuit board A013, specifically checking fuses F040 and F041.
Inspect the physical rotary knob for the depth control on the console to ensure it rotates smoothly and is not physically broken or obstructed.
Repair steps
Access diagnostic menu
Turn on the tractor ignition and access the tractor's diagnostic/calibration menu via the terminal.
Navigate to calibration
Navigate to the calibration section for the Front Power Lift (Front EPC).
Enter calibration code
Enter calibration code 9001.
Sweep potentiometer
Follow the on-screen prompts to sweep the depth control setpoint rotary potentiometer through its full range of motion so the A004 ECU can learn its minimum and maximum values.
Save and test
Save the calibration and cycle the key. Test the Front Power Lift to ensure setpoint values can now be adjusted. (Note: If the calibration fails to save or the values jump erratically during the procedure, the potentiometer itself has failed and must be replaced).
