9.1.C0

Fendt 9.1.C0 – A004 Control Console: Control console — Not available or bus not connected.

Issue description

CAN-bus communication failure where the tractor's main system loses contact with the operating console. The immediate consequences of this fault are that no automatic modes are available, general valve locking is disabled, and in severe cases, no functions or displays are available from the console.

Check the cause

  1. Check the power supply at the A013 printed circuit board (fuse board)

  2. Inspect fuses F040 and F041 on the A013 fuse board, which provide voltage to the CAN-bus for the A004 console

  3. Check the CAN-bus wiring harness and connectors between the A013 fuse board and the A004 control console for continuity, corrosion, or physical damage

Repair steps

  1. Isolate Power

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery before working on the electrical system.

  2. Replace Fuses

If fuses F040 or F041 on the A013 board are blown, replace them with the correct amperage microfuses and test the system.

  3. Access the Console

If the fuses and wiring are intact, the fault lies within the console itself. Remove the interior paneling on the right mudguard inside the cab to access the A004 Control Console.

  4. Remove and Replace/Repair

Disconnect the CAN-bus and power connectors from the A004 unit and remove the console. The unit will either need to be sent to an agricultural electronics specialist for internal circuit board repair or replaced entirely.

  5. Recalibration

If a new or repaired A004 console is installed, EOL (End of Line) programming or specific calibrations may be required via the FENDIAS diagnostic tool (for example, calibration code '9001' is required to set the depth control specified value potentiometer on the new A004 ECU).

Parts you might need

(3)
  • A004 Control Console / ECU

Contains the control pad and ECU; must be ordered based on the specific tractor chassis number.

  • A013 Printed Circuit Board / Fuse Board

Specific part number depends on chassis range.

  • Fuses F040, F041

    Standard automotive microfuses.
