Fendt 9.3.14 – EPC C (Electrohydraulic Power Control): Pushbutton ext. front power lift 'raise' — Signal line fault, key fault

This fault code indicates a malfunction in the circuit for the external 'Raise' pushbutton (S021) for the front power lift. The system has detected either a signal line fault (open circuit, short to ground, or short to power) or a key fault (button physically stuck or registering double operation). As a consequence, the control is locked and the front power lift cannot be raised using the external pushbutton.

   Inspect the external 'Raise' button (S021) for farm debris, dirt, or ice causing it to physically stick in the depressed position.

   Clear the fault code from the terminal and press the button again; if it returns immediately without pressing, suspect a hard short or stuck contact.

   Disconnect the switch and inspect the connector pins for moisture ingress, corrosion, or bent pins.

   Test the S021 switch with a multimeter for continuity (it should only show continuity when actively pressed; if it shows continuity while resting, the internal contact has failed).

   Check the signal wire running from the switch to the EPC module for continuity and ensure it is not chafed or shorting against the tractor chassis.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to protect the EPC module from voltage spikes.

   Access the Switch

   Locate the faulty S021 'Raise' switch on the front linkage external control panel.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the wiring harness connector from the back of the switch. If the connector is packed with dirt, clean it thoroughly with electrical contact cleaner and let it dry.

   Remove the Switch

   Squeeze the retaining tabs or remove the locking nut (depending on the exact switch housing generation) and push the switch out through the front of the panel.

   Install the New Switch

   Push the new OEM switch into the panel until it clicks securely into place.

   Seal and Reconnect

   Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the electrical connector to prevent future moisture ingress, then plug it into the new switch.

   Test

   Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and clear the stored 9.3.14 fault code. Test the front power lift using the external button to ensure the 'raise' function operates smoothly without throwing a new code.
